It has come to my attention that the Nightingale Research Foundation’s website is not working. This is the website that holds the information published by Dr. Byron Hyde about myalgic encephalomyelitis.
I wrote about Dr. Hyde HERE.
I understand Nightingale Research Foundation’s board has taken the website down, but I don’t have any further information about what the board plans to do. In the meantime, I want to make sure everyone knows that the information is still available. There is a back-up of the website on the “internet archive” website, also known as the “Wayback Machine”.
This is a similar situation to the Hummingbird Foundation for M.E. by Jodi Bassett. I explain how to reach that information in my article Hummingbirds' Foundation for M.E. (HFME) website is down (no longer accessible): Alternate links to use.
I hope the Nightingale Research Foundation’s website returns. As of right now all the links that have been shared over the years are going to an error message stating “This site can’t be reached”.
Wayback Machine Links
The following are recent links on the Wayback Machine to the various website pages:

The links to most of the other pages on the website can be reached by clicking on the menu at the top of the page.
Because this is merely an archive of the information on the pages, the ability to order publications is not working. Dr. Hyde’s books (as far as I know) can still be purchased using Amazon (or other book ordering sites).
Books available for purchase can be found on the archived publications page HERE.
It looks like some of the free publications are also available for download on the Wayback Machine. Links to those free publications can be found HERE.
Free publications include:
The Terrible Tale of Amy Brown
The Nightingale Definition of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E.)
Fatigue : Mosso, A. (Angelo) - A summary of Angelo Mosso's book "Fatigue" written by Byron M. Hyde, M.D.
The following does not appear to be available on the Wayback Machine
Polio and Immunization - The Lancet - Poliomyelitis and prophylactic inoculation against diphtheria, whooping cough and smallpox.
The Clinical and Scientific Basis of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/CFS can be found at https://archive.org/details/clinicalscientif0000unse
I really hope the website returns. I have shared a lot of links to this valuable information over the years so it is disappointing that those links will now go to a message stating the site can’t be reached.
Fingers crossed the website returns!
Aiming for a better future…
Colleen
