Interesting article thank you. I wondered if Methylfolate is only naturally occurring or can be synthesised / man made? If it could, would it be better to subtract that for food production than Folic acid? I understand there are other issues but is it possible? I’m guessing it’s much more costly or something 🤔.

From what I was understanding the better option for food supplementation is the folinic acid. I was trying to find out who makes folic acid to see if it's a monopoly (it looks like a few companies make it) and whether folinic acid was more expensive which would impede using that. I couldn't find that info. It sounds like it would be beneficial to switch to folinic acid, but I think we need a lot more research that isn't swayed by the $ aspect...
